Lux Aeterna, an offering for All Saints and All Souls
A special offering filmed at Our Lady of the Angels Cathedral in Los Angeles, CA, presented by the National Association of Pastoral Musicians for their Lunchtime Concert Series. True to Seraphour’s mission, this concert features sacred music from the Renaissance to Present day. The program, centered around Guggenheim Fellow, Sungji Hong‘s setting of the Lux Aeterna text is presented with chant settings of the Requiem Mass. Works by John Taverner, Randall Thompson, and and Bruce Vandervalk are paired with a world premier setting of Veni Creator by composer, Aidan Vass.
